What it is

True healing goes beyond pain relief. Exercise and rehab programs are designed to restore function, build strength and help you move with confidence, with individualized care that addresses your own needs and goals.

A locally owned, family-run practice with over three decades of experience in chiropractic care and rehabilitation, Bak Chiropractic combines therapeutic exercise with practical education to support your wellness goals.

Athletic performance optimization

Performance programs help you reach your peak potential as a weekend warrior or a competitive athlete. With a strong history in athletics, the practice designs targeted exercise protocols that build strength, speed and endurance while reducing injury risk.

What it includes

  • Manual spinal manipulation techniques
  • Sports injury prevention strategies
  • Recovery and rehabilitation support
  • Movement analysis and correction
  • Performance enhancement protocols

Signs you could benefit

  • Decreased range of motion or flexibility
  • Persistent muscle tightness
  • Slower recovery between workouts
  • Recurring injuries in the same areas
  • Reduced power or speed
  • Feeling off balance or misaligned

Coordination and balance improvement

Better balance means more confidence in everything you do, from daily activities to recreation. Coordination training sharpens your body’s awareness and stability, helping you move more safely and effectively.

Signs you may need it

  • Frequent stumbling or near-falls
  • Dizziness when standing or walking
  • Difficulty on stairs
  • Unsteadiness on uneven surfaces
  • A fear of falling that limits activities
  • Recent injuries affecting mobility

How the care helps

  • Spinal manipulation to restore proper nerve function
  • Vestibular rehabilitation techniques
  • Core strengthening protocols
  • Postural correction strategies
  • Gait analysis and training
  • Fall prevention strategies

Core strength enhancement programs

A strong core is the foundation of a healthy, functional body. Specialized exercises build the deep stabilizing muscles that support proper posture, prevent pain and improve physical performance.

Common indicators

  • Chronic lower back pain or stiffness
  • Difficulty holding good posture through the day
  • Balance issues or frequent stumbling
  • Fatigue when standing or sitting for long periods
  • Recurring injuries during physical activities
  • Weakness when lifting or bending

The benefits

  • Better spinal stability and alignment
  • Lower risk of back and neck injuries
  • Improved balance and coordination
  • Better posture at work and at leisure
  • More functional strength for daily tasks
  • Greater athletic performance and endurance

Proprioceptive retraining techniques

Proprioception is your body’s ability to sense its position and movement in space. Retraining restores that connection, which matters most after an injury, and improves your natural coordination and reaction time.

Signs you may need it

  • Frequent loss of balance or stumbling
  • Difficulty walking on uneven surfaces
  • Recurring ankle or knee injuries
  • Feeling unsteady when standing or walking
  • Poor coordination during activities
  • Lingering effects from past injuries

How it helps

  • Reduces the risk of future injuries
  • Improves balance and stability
  • Enhances athletic performance
  • Speeds recovery from sprains and strains
  • Strengthens joint awareness
  • Increases confidence in movement

Bak Chiropractic is great! Came in after a fall on the sidewalk...Rib, neck and low back pain...Dr Bak has been great in getting me back in working order! He explains at each visit what I can do on my end as well: icing the areas and how many times each day...plus he takes the time to answer any questions I have..
